Salary: £31,500 – £34,500 (dependent on experience)
Due to an increase in the volume of its business, Mac and Co are currently recruiting accounting professionals, with various levels of experience, to support a number of our key finance departments. The Mac & Co Accountants Ltd focuses on providing the entire range of financial products and services including but not limited to taxation, investment, Accounting, bookkeeping, Payroll, pension and tailored offshore consultancy. Mac and Co provided their services in the London Borough of Hounslow which has a diverse community and is rich in small commercial enterprises, in particular the Hounslow East area where the office is based.
The Candidate:
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience within an accountancy profession
- ACCA/ACA (part qualified) qualification is preferable.
- A professional and friendly manner with good communication skills
- The key duties of the post are as follows:
- Preparation of Limited Company Accounts
- Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns
- Review of team members work
- Preparation of statements showing income and expenditure
- Reviewing and submission of VAT returns
- Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
- Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
What we’re looking for:
- Ideally qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA, although “Qualified by Experience” will be considered for certain roles
- Confident, self-starter, able to work in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Communication skills, including the ability to explain finance to non-finance people
- Candidates who are innovative, who will look to drive continuous improvement and identify solutions, and who are prepared to make things happen
- The ideal candidate must be bilingual, in addition to having an excellent command of English he must be able to speak any of these languages Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Arabic at an advanced level.
